An Early Comeback!

Sadly, I abandoned NaNoWriMo not long after I started it in favor of developing a character that fell into my lap.  Stay tuned for more on that front as things develop further.  In the meantime, I was able to overcome my writers block (thank goodness), and I have some poems to share with you!  I won't overwhelm you, instead I'll dole them out at an appropriate pace.

The first was inspired by a scene from a Philadelphia street.

"Staircases"

Racing, racing,

always faster

Up these steps

Down those steps

Narrow and steep

Dark and chilled

Always moving

Always going

Light this fire

Make the bed

Lay out the clothes

Bring in the flowers

Bake the bread

Dust the mantle

Announce the visitor

Keep moving

Always going

Constant motion

To ensure perfection

To what end?

For whose benefit?

With what impact?

Why??
